A davit socket pedestal is welded to the top flange of a structural steel beam sized per plan with a 3/8-inch fillet weld. The supporting beam connects to a corner column sized per plan using a bolted framing angle connection with an L8x4x1/2 angle configured with long legs vertical. The davit pedestal aligns over the column centerline to transfer vertical and lateral loads safely into the primary structural frame.
