Longitudinal reinforcement sizing varies by member width, utilizing one number six bar each way for members up to seven inches wide, two number six bars each way for members eight to twenty inches wide, four number six bars each way for members twenty to forty inches wide, and six number six bars each way for members wider than forty inches.
