A vertical step in an interior concrete slab-on-grade rises to a maximum height of one foot six inches. A thickened concrete section or strip footing lies beneath the elevation change. Continuous 15M reinforcing bars run along the top and bottom of the step, supplemented by 15M reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center. General slab reinforcing is sized per plan.
