A three-eighths-inch thick gusset plate connects a bracing member to a hanger and a monorail beam sized per plan. The hanger member is welded to a three-quarter-inch by eight-inch by one-foot-two-inch connection plate with quarter-inch fillet welds and secured with four bolts at a three-and-a-half-inch gauge with a one-and-a-half-inch minimum edge distance. The bracing member is fastened to the three-eighths-inch gusset plate with two bolts spaced at three inches on center, maintaining a one-inch minimum typical clearance and a one-and-a-half-inch maximum offset from the work point.
