A reinforced concrete shear wall connects continuously through a cast-in-place concrete floor slab. Wall thickness and wall reinforcement are sized per plan and wall elevation, featuring vertical dowels and distributed reinforcing bars. The floor slab contains slab reinforcement detailed per plan, extending past the wall intersection with a minimum two-foot lap splice length as specified in the notes. The top of slab elevation is referenced to the building datum per plan.
