A buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel column and a steel beam through a gusset plate welded at the framing intersection. Stiffener plates are provided on the near side and far side of the members as required by the brace design. The steel beam frames into the steel column flange with a bolted shear tab connection. Fillet welds secure the gusset plate and stiffeners according to the structural design.
