Double angle web members frame into a bottom truss chord made from a structural WT section with a one-half-inch thick gusset plate. The diagonal double angles are welded to the gusset plate with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds on the near side and far side, with a four inch minimum length. A vertical double angle member connects to the gusset plate using one-quarter inch fillet welds on the near side and far side, with a six inch minimum length and a one inch typical clearance. The members align at the work point with their centroids meeting at the designated intersection.
