Clerestory roof framing connections include an HSS sill corner joint, an HSS sill at an HSS post, and an HSS sill to wide-flange column connection. The corner joint utilizes an HSS post below with a 1/4-inch partial joint penetration weld. The HSS sill framing connects to an HSS6x6 and HSS4x4 with a 1/2-inch base plate fastened by four 7/8-inch diameter bolts at the beam gauge, featuring oversized holes for fit-up and a 1/2-inch stiffener plate welded with three-sided 3/16-inch fillets. The wide-flange column connection incorporates L4x4x1/2 by 0'-9" clip angles at the top secured by two 7/8-inch diameter bolts at the column gauge with shims as required, along with 5/16-inch fillet welds and 3/16-inch typical welds tying the HSS header to the column flange.
