Concrete floor slab depression conditions transition via joints keyed for load transfer and reinforced with dowels matching the slab reinforcing. The construction joint features a continuous keyway with edges tooled to a 1/8 inch radius on each side. The control joint includes a sawcut performed within the first twelve hours of the pour along with a tooled edge of 1/8 inch radius. Both joint configurations maintain a minimum six inch dimension at the vertical drop and tie into the concrete floor slab per the footing and foundation plan.
