An interior steel brace connection ties a steel joist to a concrete tilt-up wall panel using an angle brace. A steel angle measuring L5x3x1/4 connects the steel joist to the concrete tilt-up panel, secured with a three-eighths-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-eight-inch plate and two three-quarters-inch diameter by five-inch heavy stud anchors. A structural angle measuring L6x4x3/4 by zero-foot-six-inch supports the assembly, welded with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on three sides. Three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure the angle brace connections, and three-quarters-inch fillet welds are spaced at six inches typical. Metal roof deck bears above the steel joist, coordinating with architectural reveal or recess requirements up to three-quarters-inch maximum.
