A roof joist connects to a perimeter roof beam with joist bridging provided by the joist supplier. Web stiffeners are welded to each side of the beam web at the bridging attachment with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. A five-sixteenths inch continuous bent closure plate featuring a four-inch vertical leg spans across the beam. A vertical slip clip fastens to each exterior wall stud with a quarter-inch fillet weld at four to twelve inches spacing typical at each clip.
