An existing concrete slab intersects an existing concrete shear wall at Level 3. A concrete shear wall overlay extends upward from the level, reinforced with number five U-bars that match and lap with the vertical reinforcing steel. Number four epoxy dowels measuring three feet in length are spaced at twelve inches on center with a three-inch embedment into the top of the overlay to tie into the assembly above. The top row of epoxy dowels is spaced at twelve inches.
