A steel beam connects to an open web steel joist girder utilizing a bolted shear tab and a 5/16 inch by 4 inch bent plate. A 5/16 inch plate is centered on the web of the girder. The bent plate is welded with 1/4 inch fillet welds on three sides. Additional load conditions are sized per the structural plans.
