A two-foot-tall cantilevered cold-formed steel pony wall is framed with HSS 3x3x1/4 hollow structural sections spaced at four inches on center, capped with a 1/4-inch plate. The structural steel posts weld to a 1/2-inch by 4-inch by 9-inch base plate with a 3/16-inch fillet weld. The base plate anchors into the concrete slab edge using two 1/2-inch diameter by 4-1/2-inch wedge head screws spaced at seven inches on center. Two number 4 hairpin reinforcing bars embed within the concrete slab adjacent to the anchorage.
