A one-half inch plate is specified at high load connections and is omitted where the hollow structural section nominal wall thickness exceeds three-eighths of an inch. Additional connections and details are referenced per drawings six and twelve on sheet S-503. A one-inch typical dimension is indicated relative to the column face.
