A hollow structural section post connects to a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch square embed plate with four three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch welded studs typical. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the post to the base plate. The top of concrete is positioned per plan, with centerlines aligned between the post and the embed assembly. A note indicates that wide flange columns are similar.
