A hollow structural section post is supported by a continuous hollow structural section beam over a concrete slab on metal deck. The hollow structural section post is connected to the continuous hollow structural section beam, which is sized per plan. A three-eighths-inch cap plate is welded to the top of the post with a complete joint penetration weld. The hollow structural section post is spaced per architectural requirements at a maximum of four feet and supports a wind screen.
