A wide-flange beam connects to a concrete stem wall using a pair of five-by-five by five-sixteenth-inch angles that are six inches long, secured with two three-quarter-inch-diameter ASTM A325N bolts to each web and a coped bottom flange. A hollow structural section and gusset work point above bear on a three-quarter-inch by four-inch by seven-inch by zero-foot-ten-inch plate anchored by four three-quarter-inch ASTM F1554 Grade 36 anchor bolts with quarter-inch fillet welds. Fillet welds join the structural steel plates while maintaining standard edge distances and clearances shown in plan. Additional connection details reference sheet S6.01 and S6.05 for unshown conditions.
