Wide flange beams connect to a hollow structural section column using connection plates and through-plates sized per schedule. A web plate measuring five-eighths of an inch is located on the opposite side of the connection plate. Fillet welds of three-quarters and one-half inch secure the plates to the members. Bolt centerlines and plate thicknesses are detailed according to the engineering schedule, maintaining specified edge distances and clearances.
