A steel bar joist connects to a precast concrete wall panel using seven-eighths-inch diameter anchor bolts installed at twelve inches on center or two feet on center depending on the specific condition. A three-quarter-inch by four-inch by one-foot-six-inch splice plate spans across the panel joint with quarter-inch welds applied on three sides. At the panel joint, one seven-eighths-inch diameter anchor bolt is set in a two-inch horizontally slotted hole at each side of the joint. Additional conditions incorporate quarter-inch plates at each of four locations and two wall tie plates with four-by-six members spaced at two feet on center. A welded stud schedule specifies stud lengths ranging from six inches to ten inches corresponding to panel thicknesses between eight inches and twelve inches. As noted on the drawing, welded studs may be installed in lieu of anchor bolts at the contractor's option.
