This assembly features an L8 x 8 x 3/8 inch angle, one foot long, secured with four 3/4 inch diameter by 6 inch headed stud anchors on the face side of the angle. The angle is welded to a 3/4 inch by 8 inch by 1 foot 8 inch plate using a 1/4 inch fillet weld on three sides. The assembly ties into the concrete footing via footing embeds and connection plates detailed elsewhere. Reinforcement within the footing includes number 6 U-bars hooked around the top and bottom of the headed stud anchors, along with four number 5 Z-bars. The footing itself is reinforced per the project plan and schedule, with a 48 inch lap splice length required for the reinforcement.
