Continuous standard horizontal bridging consists of an L1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/4 angle member installed between steel beams. The bridging members cross in an X-configuration and are secured with a bolt at the intersection. Typical connection plates measuring one-quarter inch thick tie the bridging angles back to the structural steel framing.
