A beam-to-column connection in a braced frame assembly features an existing wide-flange beam framing into an existing hollow structural section column. A new gusset plate is positioned at the intersection of the beam centerline, column centerline, and brace centerline work point. The connection accommodates a buckling-restrained brace designed by the brace supplier, with additional beam reinforcing referenced from adjacent details. Typical wide-flange beam and column sections are connected using standard bolted gusset plate configurations.
