This structural steel connection joins framing beams to both sides of a central girder web using bolted shear plates and top and bottom stabilizer plates. One-half-inch-thick stabilizer plates weld to the top and bottom flanges of the girder and beams with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Shear plates on either side of the girder web align in plan and feature full-height web plates of varying thicknesses sized per the accompanying schedule. Beams secure to the shear plates with non-slip or common bolts configured in vertical rows sized according to the member designation. Associated welds and plate dimensions provide load transfer across the seismic force-resisting system collector.
