Steel studs connect to the top flange of a wide flange beam using two Simpson 0.157PDPAT-62KP powder-actuated fasteners spaced at twelve inches on center. A deflection track sits at the bottom flange of the wide flange beam to receive the lower steel studs. The wide-flange beam size is specified per the structural plan, and the steel studs are detailed per the elevations, schedules, or structural notes.
