A structural steel column supports framing members with welded stabilizer plates at the girder and joist bearing locations. The girder bearing end secures with two three-quarter-inch diameter A325 erection bolts, while the steel joist bearing end uses two half-inch diameter A325 erection bolts. Three-quarter-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates occur typically at girders, and three-eighth-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates with thirteen-sixteenth-inch diameter holes occur typically at joists. Bottom chords are left unwelded to the stabilizer plates unless noted otherwise.
