A buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate welded against a steel column and base plate anchored into a concrete foundation. Stiffener plates are provided near side and far side as required by the brace manufacturer. A concrete block-out is formed in the concrete slab on grade surrounding the column base and gusset plate assembly. Base plate and anchor bolt information is referenced separately on elevations for the strong axis column connection.
