A concrete slab T-joint features reinforcing bars placed along the discontinuous edge. Number four reinforcing bars are detailed with one inch of clear distance from the top of the slab and extend one foot six inches above and below the intersecting joint. A one-inch clearance is maintained at the joint interface.
