An angle brace consisting of an L3x3x1/4 structural angle connects to an open web steel joist sized per plan, with an L4x4x1/4 by one-foot angle located at the panel joint. Welds are specified as three-sixteenth-inch on three sides and one-quarter-inch fillet welds as detailed. A perpendicular kicker brace ties into the joist assembly. Section A-A and the kicker detail provide cross-sectional views of the connection geometry.
