An open web steel joist bears on a steel girder supported by a steel column with a cap plate. The girder bearing end secures to the steel cap plate using two three-quarter-inch diameter A325 erection bolts. The joist bearing end fastens to the top flange of the girder using two half-inch diameter A325 erection bolts. Three-eighths-inch by eight-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates with thirteen-sixteenths-inch diameter holes anchor the joist chords, while three-quarter-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates brace the girder. Bottom chords are left unwelded to the stabilizer plate unless otherwise noted.
