Steel beams frame into a steel column with their ends aligned flush with the edge of the bearing plate. The metal deck is notched around the steel beam end to accommodate the connection. Three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the framing members with specified clearances up to one-quarter inch maximum. Grid lines and references to other structural details coordinate the assembly.
