A moment-connected beam frames into a supporting beam using complete joint penetration welds typical at top and bottom flanges. The assembly includes a bolted web connection and weld access holes per AISC 360 standards. The supporting beam is deeper than the moment connected beam in the first condition and equal depth in the second condition.
