A steel beam frames into a supporting girder per plan with a bolted shear connection. A one-half-inch by five-inch plate is welded to the underside of the beam web and fastened to the girder flange with one-inch diameter A490-X bolts. A vertical short slotted hole provides adjustability at the lower plate connection. Five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure the plate to the structural members as specified.
