A concrete slab is poured over steel decking running parallel to supporting steel beams sized per the structural plans. Welded studs are attached as required with a continuous number three bar wired to the studs typically to support welded wire fabric or reinforcing steel. A three-inch minimum bearing and two-inch minimum condition are maintained at the edge beam. An edge form with a one-half-inch return is detailed for the slab edge condition.
