An embed plate is cast flush with the top of a slab on grade at Level 1, positioned at an elevation of zero feet and zero inches. The embed plate is anchored into a thickened concrete footing profile reinforced with longitudinal steel bars and vertical stud anchors welded to the underside of the plate. A structural member frames into the embed plate location with a welded connection.
