Cold-formed steel wall studs terminate at a top track positioned beneath a structural steel beam. A concrete structural floor or roof deck bears directly on the top flange of the steel beam. Deflection clips and drift track clips connect the wall studs to the underside of the steel beam to allow for vertical movement and lateral drift without transferring loads to the partition.
