A structural concrete grade beam bears on a foundation footing and connects to a vertical column pedestal. Anchor bolts embedded within the concrete footing secure the column base plate assembly. Concrete reinforcement bars provide structural integrity within both the grade beam and the footing. A two-inch clear cover is maintained for reinforcement placement.
