A curtain wall attaches laterally to an HSS girt or beam sized per plan. A 3/8-inch fin plate is welded or connected to the HSS member at curtain wall attachment points as required. The vertical or horizontal mullion attaches to the fin plate per the curtain wall manufacturer's requirements, serving as a lateral-only connection.
