A curved W12x beam frames into a hollow structural section column using a one-half inch thick knife plate connection. The knife plate slots into the structural tee and is secured with three bolts detailed per schedule. A continuous one-quarter inch fillet weld attaches the connection assembly. Stiffener plates sized per plan reinforce the column web at the connection location.
