Two drainage options for retaining walls with backfill specifications per the soils report. Option A incorporates a four-inch diameter perforated pipe conforming to ASTM Test Method 2729 laid in crushed rock wrapped in Mirafi 140N or equivalent filter fabric, topped with compacted impervious soil. Option B utilizes a four-inch diameter perforated pipe set in Class II permeable material with Miradrain or an approved equal drainage mat applied to the wall. The perforated pipe must be laid with holes oriented downward and sloped properly to drain.
