A hollow structural section member connects to a concrete panel per plan using a galvanized steel plate measuring one-half inch by one foot by one foot eight inches. The embedded plate is secured with six three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch long stud bolts at eight-inch gauge. The HSS member is welded to the plate with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides.
