A framed opening in a metal deck before concrete placement, applicable for decks with or without concrete fill. Two 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 by 1/4 inch angles are welded to two full-height deck flutes on each side of the opening typically. Round core or sleeve openings are positioned at the corners where required. No reinforcing is required for openings less than 6 inches, with a maximum opening size of 2 feet 0 inches. Edge clearances and offsets are detailed with 3-inch dimensions.
