A bolted lug Corebrace connection at a chevron configuration frames into a structural steel beam and gusset plate assembly. The gusset plates feature a thickness designated as tg, welded to the underside of the beam web with typical fillet welds on near side and far side. A one-half-inch plate is positioned at the joint with near side and far side connections. The brace incorporates a bolted lug configuration with multiple fastener holes aligned along the centerline of the member. Work points are located at one-half the nominal depth of the beam.
