A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel column and steel beam through a gusset plate welded at the intersection. Typical stiffener plates are provided on the near side and far side as required by the brace design, along with typical stiffener plates at the column flanges. Welds secure the gusset plate and framing members according to the sizing parameters shown on the drawing. The work point aligns at the intersection of the beam and column centerlines, with similar connection details applicable at the top brace connection.
