A cast-in-place concrete tie beam measuring two feet by two feet is reinforced with four total number six continuous longitudinal bars and number three stirrups spaced at twelve inches on center. The beam maintains three inches of typical concrete clearance to the reinforcing steel. Sand bedding is provided per detail eight on sheet SD2 when the variable dimension L equals one-half inch. A footing per plan is provided where indicated.
