A structural steel column with base plate and anchor bolts sized per plan is centered within a concrete infill area. The infill concrete is specified to be cast after the column base plate has been grouted, maintaining a typical two-inch clearance. A control joint or construction joint encircles the assembly, reinforced with centered number four trim bars with a typical six-inch spacing.
