A cable rail screen post connects to a structural steel beam using three-eighths-inch plate welded to the beam flanges with three-eighths-inch fillet welds. One-half-inch by four-inch plates are attached to each side with one-quarter-inch fillet welds to the flanges and webs. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are provided on each side of the screen post, with three-quarter-inch by eight-inch square plates minimum at the screen post and beam intersection. A W12x19 bracing beam connects to the assembly as sized per plan, with connections detailed separately per detail 5/S5.01.
