Concrete foundation wall conditions connect to continuous concrete footings and concrete slabs on grade. The foundation wall features continuous horizontal and vertical reinforcing steel along with top and bottom continuous reinforcing in the concrete footing. Construction joints at the top of the footing and wall are specified to be roughened to one-quarter-inch amplitude. The slab-on-grade connection incorporates an embedded L4x4x1/4 angle with one-half-inch diameter by six-inch heavy stud anchors spaced at sixteen inches on center, along with continuous number four reinforcing bars and number four vertical dowels or slab reinforcing at twelve inches on center.
