An HSS brace connects to a continuous HSS beam and column framing assembly through gusset plates. Diagonal HSS braces frame into the beam-column intersection, sized per plan with centerlines intersecting at a common working point. A three-eighths inch plate thickness is specified typically, with quarter-inch fillet welds securing the structural elements. Beam connections are made per detail 1/S6.02.
