A wide flange beam connects to the web of a supporting steel column via a single plate shear tab. The shear tab is welded to the column flange with a one-quarter inch fillet weld, indicated with field weld and all-around symbols. The beam web bolts to the shear tab using three rows of high-strength fasteners. The member size is sized per plan.
